How You Got Involved In Letterpress Printing

I was introduced to letterpress printing by a close friend who teaches screen printing at Foothill College. He mentioned that there was a letterpress printing class there, so I decided to take it. The teacher was Michael Day. He was an amazing teacher and source of inspiration on getting started printing on my own. In January of 2012, my wife and I moved up to Ukiah from San Mateo. I now had room for a full size press, cabinets, etc., with room to grow. My childhood dream was to become a printer...and now I am in my spare time!
