- How You Got Involved In Letterpress Printing
- My involvement in letterpress printing is the outgrowth of a life-long love affair with tantalizing typography, fine stationery, and vintage ephemera.
- Presses & Equipment
- The superstar of my printshop is “The Imp,” an 1894 Chandler and Price 8×12 Old Style platen press. Everything at Ink & Imp Press is done by hand and that includes powering the unmotorized press. Good old-fashioned “pedal to the treadle” people-power keeps the press humming along.
- Education & Training
- I have a Ph.D, M.S.W., and B.A., all from the University of Pennsylvania. No education or training in letterpress - I'm self-taught.
- Work History
- I'm a tenured faculty member at the George Washington University. In my free time, I operate Ink & Imp Press.
