How You Got Involved In Letterpress Printing

When I took classes at the Center for the Book in San Francisco, I joined the sfletterpress listserv and posted a request for an apprenticeship in the Bay Area so that I could learn the trade. In addition to becoming a member of the LOLP, I have, for the past two years, been working as an apprentice to a retired commercial printer. He guides and instructs me in the craft and allows me to use his press and equipment for free so that I can print limited poetry broadsides and chapbooks.
